A Collaborative & Diverse Undergraduate Research Group

Grace Anderson
I am a senior at FGCU double majoring in Biochemistry and Music with a focus on classical voice. After graduation, I plan to pursue a PhD in Chemistry focusing on the development of novel materials at the interface of chemistry and biology. Ultimately, I aim to become a professor at a research-focused institution. I want to lead a research team at the edge of chemical innovation and simultaneously champion diversity and education equity through mentorship.

Elizabeth Recker
I am a senior at FGCU majoring in biomedical engineering and minoring in chemistry. After graduation, I aspire to attend a graduate engineering program to obtain a PhD. My long-term goal is to develop a multi-sector research company that utilizes diversity as the key to success and designs sustainable solutions to problems through collaboration of different fields. I aim to create globalized, widespread, and equitable solutions for the betterment of people, no matter the nationality, race, or socioeconomic status thereof.

Romain Berthiot
After obtaining a BSc in Chemistry, I am now completing a MSc at the interface of chemistry, biology, and drug design at the University of Strasbourg, France. I chose this MSc because I want to solve real world health problems with methods that could be used in a clinical setting. I am looking for opportunities where I can use my expertise in chemistry and chemical biology to complete challenging projects while continuing my education by learning new techniques.

Philipp Seibert
I am a senior in the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry program. I aspire to attend MIT's AeroAstro Master's program for Material Science. It is my dream to close the engineering and chemistry gap in the aerospace industry and champion international cooperation between my home country, Germany, and the world.
